Vogue Taiwan-January 2012

This spread is from Vogue Taiwan in January 2012 and I’m in love! The styling in this is to die for. I love the fact that they used minimal makeup for her because she’s such a beauty she doesn’t need any. I love the randomness of the style and all of the leather. And that hat? Come on. You can’t tell me that if you lived in England and attended Royal affairs you wouldn’t wear that hat. Unreal. You can go here to find the spread. Enjoy the rest of your weekend!

And the winner of the Stitched & Adorned Tunic is…

LENA!!! Congrats girl, this awesome tunic from Stitched & Adorned that will rock your wardrobe for Spring is YOURS!!! You posted, tweeted, and commented like a winner should. Thanks doll! You will be contacted by email.

Everyone else check back for the next giveaway on Monday! I’m super super excited about it.

Have an incredible weekend lovelies! I mean it.

Thrifty Thursday: Bringing sexy back

So in just 12 really short days is valentines day so we must shop early to make sure that we are ready!!! Today I found the perfect deal to get you started in putting together your perfect Valentine’s look. I know some people view Valentines day as Single Awareness Day but i’ve always preferred viewing it as Sexy Awareness Day! So maybe that’s a little risque….or even worse, cliche….but I don’t even care because hello it’s the most romantic day of the entire year! It’s all about love and romance and getting fancy and this dress is totally going to make you bring sexy back…literally! I found it on TopShop.com. It’s called the Ribbed Heart Back Prom Dress and it’s on sale for 50% off!!! It used to be $110.00 but buy it right now for just $55!

This dress is amazing because the standard ‘little black dress’ look of the front really keeps it classy but the adorable cut outs on the back just made me die. It really takes the whole ‘business in the front, party in the back’ thing to a whole new level with a giant cut out heart! Plus it playfully shows the perfect amount of skin to make you look and feel so beautiful.

So don’t curse valentines day. Love it. Embrace it. Get dressed up. Feel fancy. Feel sexy. Take time to love the people around you and also take time to LOVE YOU! This Valentines Day, don’t wear your heart on your sleeve…..but wear it on your back instead.

Cheers!

Giveaway Monday: Adorable Morris Terry Yoga Shorts

Really excited about this week’s giveaway! So, Morris Terry is one of my favorite companies because they have INSANE work out clothes. I die. Today’s giveaway are these incredibly cute and fashionable yoga shorts!! Ok I’ll be the first to admit it, sometimes I have absolutely zero motivation to hit the gym. Seriously, Z-E-R-O. But then again, who does? I think that’s why I love these yoga shorts so much…..they get me excited to go to the gym! Maybe that’s lame, maybe it’s not, but either way it’s the truth. When I have cute workout clothes I get excited to go to the gym because, HELLO, that means I get to wear my hot new shorts!

I’m all about incorporating style into every part of my life. So yes, this includes when I go to the gym! I used to play basketball in high school and my coach would say to us, “When you look good, you feel good. When you feel good, you play good!” Feeling good in all situations, whether it’s on the treadmill or in a Pilates class, will make you want to do better and work harder!!

Now time for the fun part….or as Courtney from the Bachelor would say, WINNING! Comment below and tell me your secrets to finding motivation to go the gym! Also, subscribe to my blog and share this giveaway with your friends on Facebook, Twitter, email, etc. and YOU could win these darling yoga shorts!! You must subscribe to my blog to win, so do it NOW!! The more you share the more chances you have to win!

I’ll be picking a winner on Friday. Good luck and have an amazing week!

Cheers!

Self Love Sundays: Sign Your Name

You sign your name at the end of a letter, when you finish creating a piece of art, or when you are solidifying an important document!  We sign our name to all of these things….It shows that something is ours and leaves a record about where we have been.

This week I went to a concert with mind-blowing music!! It was the kind of music that made me feel like I wanted to get up a dance around like nobody was watching…….so that’s exactly what I did! There is no doubt that the crowed enjoyed every second of the sound because everyone was swaying back and forth with smiles on their faces.  When the concert was over the artist was crowded with people in the lobby signing autographs. The best part about it was that you could tell he was totally enjoying every second of  what he was doing.  Every time he signed an autograph I thought about how a seemingly simple signature was in fact his way of claiming his music and creativity as his own! So inspiring!

He signed his name, he was proud of what he did, and we all should be too!  Be so proud of everything you do that you will WANT to sign your name to it. Let the world know that you are you and that what you create is YOURS! Go. Do. Create. Be.

Cheers, Jen

White Dimension!!

I am loving all of these skirts with different lengths lately! Don’t you love them? The skirts/dresses in these photos are from Magdalena Velevska and Stylestalker. They are just so beautiful and I think I love them so much because of the dimensions. Again, sorry for the summer outfits BUT I’m still super envious of summer right now! I can’t wait to be basking in the sun. Happy Weekend everyone!!

Thrifty Thursday: Kray for Kimono

and by ‘kray’ I mean KRAZY of course! Seriously though, I am crazy about this kimono I saw on Free People. This time of year it’s really hard to shop  because you don’t want to waste your money on wintery clothes you can only wear for a few more months of cold but then you don’t want to buy summer clothes that you are going to have to wait forever till you can wear. So, during this time I like to find pieces that I can wear both now and later. Get more bang for my buck if you know what im saying!

Ok so back to my kimono craze! This is from Free People and it’s called the Parisian Print Kimono. It was originally $128.00 but it’s been marked down 70% off and is now only $39.95. The colors in this kimono are gorgeous. The dark background gives it a more fall & wintery feel, but the offset, bright colored florals give you the ok to rock this in spring & summer too. Honestly you are going to wear it all year round.

Right now while you are are waiting for the cold to go away, wear this kimono as pictured above: with leggings and boots. But when warm comes again, lose the leggings for legs and switch out the riding boots for some strappy sandals. And if you want a fancier look, don’t be afraid to layer it on top of a skirt or dress….the layers of flowy will look super pretty and compliment each other if you tie it all together with the right belt!

P.S. Not only is the Parisian Print Kimono accommodating to different seasons, it also comes in red floral! So darling.
